Chinese Clematis Root Extract Description: Clematis is a commonly used Chinese medicine. In 2010 edition of Chinese Pharmacopoeia, which are the dried roots and rhizomes of Clematis chinensis Osbeck, Clematis hexapetala Pall. or Clematis manshurica Rupr from Ranunculaceae. In 2005 edition of Chinese Pharmacopoeia, TLC identification of Clematis was carried out with oleanolic acid as the reference substance. Studies on chemical constituents show that Clematis chinensis mainly contains saponins, flavonoids, lignans, phenols, alkaloids and other ingredients. It has wind-dispelling and dampness-removing, and Tongluo-analgesic effects. It can be used in combination with Ligusticum chuanxiong, Panax notoginseng, myrrh, etc.
