Galangin Description: Galangal, originated in China, is a plant in the ginger family. It is approved by the Ministry of Health as Chinese medicine homologous food and can be widely used in the pharmaceutical, food, cosmetics industry.
 
The chemical constituent of Galangal is complex with strong pharmacological activity. It mainly contains diarylheptanoids, volatile oil, flavonoids, glycosides, sterols, etc, among which the main active component is galangin (3,5,7-trihydroxyflavones) that is isolated from the dried rhizome of Galangal. The main activity of galanin is related to the effect on the digestive system, anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory, anti-virus, anti-oxidation, and so on.
